Purchased this camera for my driveway and entrance. Easy installation but I have two cautions. One, the template stuck tenaciously to my Hardy Board siding and I had to use Goo Gone and finger nails to get it off. Two, when getting the Verification Code for the APP by email be sure to check your spam folder.

Doug1 4 Great Quality
I finally got this installed on our back porch. I could not decide if I should put this by our front door or in the back but the back patio seemed a better choice because we can cover larger area with this camera. Our front porch is too narrow and covered and often too dark. Installation was easy and quick start guide helpful. I had some issues with the Guard App but it ended up being an issue with my phone. My new phone should arrive within the next 2 business days and I am expecting all to work smoothly. If you need an added level of security around your home, this camera will not disappoint.

Hafcanadian 3 Sensitivity?
It would be nice if the company would provide an answer here to the multiple complaints of bugs setting off the motion detector/notifications. As a potential buyer, this could be a game changer; but the company only asks the posters to contact their tech department, so no real solution is provided herein for the rest of us.

Each motion detector case can be as simple as adjusting the sensitivity or setting up exclusion zone so that trees or other things that move constantly don't get captured. Robert007 5 Love the 4K 16 camera system
Ordered this on Sunday thanksgiving week and delivered Friday noon as a replacement for my old 8 camera Night Owl 960h system. Tested system first and compared the video quality with the new bnc cables versus the existing bnc cables on 4K settings. Pictures were identical, relief that I only had to run 8 new cables instead of 16. I download the manual from the defender website and installed myself, did not have to call their support for any installation assistance. Being able to use the Defender app from my iPhone and pad was a breeze. This is a true DIY, just read all documentation and take your time. The field of vision is perfect for my needs and image quality is right up there. Only suggestion is if you can review earlier recordings other than the current day on iphone app, that would be great. I am so glad I took a chance on this Defender system.

Thistle 2 too sensitive
I have this camera for 3 days. Easy set up. Great picture. However the sensitivity of the camera at setting 1 is setting out notifications with snow flakes. If you have to turn off notifications to stop the alerts what good is the camera???Any suggestions besides returning the camera? I just read the one review about having turned of the camera because of flying insects at setting 1.

jjr730 2 needs work
This is my second review of this product after giving it a second chance. I bought this system for the truck yard where all my company trucks are parked at night. I still have my 8 channel defender wired system working there now for 15 years and have busted a lot of people doing break-ins I've had and still have other defender products for years and they are absolutely wonderful for security at home and my work yards. But this camera is way to sensitive (flying bugs constantly set it off) and after 5 months I finally shut it off and don't use it anymore. I got tired of the phone going off up to 20 times a night and it was always just flying bugs. I will say it was easy to set up and use and the picture quality is great and yes I've got the camera set on the lowest sensitively setting. So if you have a lighted yard this camera is not for that. But i am in central texas and we do have bugs

I can not explain to you how much this security camera has helped us and how amazing it is. We actually had a break in a couple weeks after installing this camera! Thankfully we were not hurt. The police were able to find the intruder quickly because the video was so crystal clear! It was all spotty like most are. This was really clear. I am very thankful for this system. It was an easy install and I cant wait to get another one.

Tim22 5 Great picture!
This camera seems to have better quality picture than other brands I've had and have. I'm in the process of repositioning it to my backyard and grabbed a few pictures of the sd and hd visions. The app was easy to use and basically helps you set up the camera. The whole process is simple and never had to enter payment method for cloud service. I'm very impressed.

goldensquirrel 4 Good camera, easy to install
This has been a good camera so far. One issue has been quality but i feel like its our internet more than the camera. We use it outside by our pool and it doesnt look bad at all. Definitely a solid product so far.

Jdyer55 4 Security camera installation made easy.
This simple to set up camera provides good picture quality with motion sensing, night vision, and onboard storage to record any events. It is all easily set up in minutes from the Defender Guard app which is also very nice. The camera does require a 110v power source but comes with a very long power cord to run where you please. Overall great camera if you are looking for something easy to set up with no monthly fees.

Garr 5 Awesome little camera
I got this about a month ago and I couldn't be happier with it. I have had issues in the past setting up these types of cameras to my network and have had way too many problems that I ended up returning them. But not Defender Guard it was easy to set up with no frustration. The app is really nice too!!! it allows you to export recordings to your phone or whatever device you have the app on. You also have the option to choose either SD or HD to record in with audio. I was also surprised with how clear and quickly the night vision works. All around really nice cam and will definitely be picking up more.
