    5 Easy setup, Great value

    This is my 2nd Defender system. I've had my first one for about a year and half and works great. Did not realize how much I needed a system until I had one. Very easy to set up and love the online viewing through my ipad and phone.

    5 Improved Picture Quality

    This is my third system from Defender. I have always been happy with their products. Picture quality is much improved with this 4K system. Set up was a breeze and only took a few minutes to link to my phone. I wish I could remote view from a PC like the older systems. I have not been able to find a way to make that happen, but it does view easily on my phone. There are just times it would be nice to see on a larger screen when I am away from home.

    4 Pretty good system

    The system has a good picture. I wish there was an audio option. It would be easier if the cables were longer too. Took a bit to get it set up but in the end I am happy with the way it all works. It’s much better than my previous set up.

    4 excellent video quality leading to peace of ming

    Honestly after getting this product I avoided putting them up because I was nervous how difficult they would be. There are a lot of videos available demonstrating exactly how to install them. Ive also found customer service so helpful in alleviating concerns and answering questions. The video quality is excellent and now I have peace of mind when I am not home. Don't procrastinate and put them up and enjoy them!!

    2 I Want to Like Them

    I purchased these to replace my existing Defender 1080 cameras which were amazing for the money. I contacted the company on 5/31 regarding a pink line that runs down the left side of my cameras, and their solution was to replace the cameras. Almost 2 months later I still have pink lines, and the company has no idea how to fix the problem. I was told I would have a resolution from Engineering by the 19th of this month, now it is the 25th, and I still have no resolution as they "cannot replicate" the problem.

    On the included picture, you will see a faint pink line that runs down the left side. This same line is present on all 4 cameras. I can get the line to go away by turning the camera "just so," but it is present when I set the camera where I need it. I can also get it to go away by attaching a shield on the side of the camera, but that looks tacky. I still await a resolution from the company, but after 2 months of waiting, I am not holding my breath. These lines NEVER happened on my 1080 set, which I unfortunately gave away once I purchased the 4K. Big mistake.

    One of the other things to consider on this model is that the DVR included in this set only supports 4K on the first input. The company specifically told me this via an email string. That seems a bit silly for a "4K" kit sold with 4 cameras, but the company did provide another DVR that did support 4K resolution on all 4 cameras. If you are expecting 4K on all 4 cameras, this is not the set to purchase based on the company's feedback.

    My second system from Defender, the first system is 6 years old, not one issue.
    The second system was 11 months old, had a DVR issue, Defender replaced it in one week, no hassel. My third system will be a Defender.

    5 Happy with the first system so bought another one!

    I purchased a Defender 4 camera wireless system a year ago to use in a home that I could not run cable throughout. The system was very easy to install, worked very well, wireless runs up to 80ft including several walls were not a problem. So I decided to purchase this HD wired system for another home install. This home had another surveillance BNC cabled system that was low definition and finally a few cameras failed. It was easy to install this system since the camera cables were already there. As usual the software set was just as easy. Now the pictures are significantly improved with the 4K cameras and HD. The mobile app is easy to install and use. Also I am able to view the two different sites on the same app. The footprint for the DVR is also smaller than the previous low definition unit so it saves some space.
    My only complaint is the offsite video is only available to the smart phones and not laptops. Defender needs to address this issue since access on a laptop or PC with larger screen is a definite bonus.
    I would buy another one if I needed it!

    I purchased these cameras due to the 4K I will say the wide angle is good the clarity of these cameras are much better plus when you have the cameras on the phone app you can view regular then goto HD which enhances the clarity plus you can zoom in on a spot which give better detail. I will say they quality is there. I personally don't like the red dot the camera has that you see at night. I prefer no sign that the camera is on. The mounting is very good with adjustments you can get these cameras under the soffit to keep them out of the sun which is my benefit so you can still have the camera level. I don't understand all the features which there are several that I don't use. I do enjoy the app on the phone.
    The set up isn't bad I had to call for support since I messed up the setup you need to follow each step exactly or they wont work. I like the playback feature you just need to watch the speed your play back you can miss some activity if your going too fast.
    overall the quality is great daily operation great value not bad for what you get
